Steven Talerico spent his career as an accountant and consultant — in numbers, evidence, and documenting facts before drawing conclusions. Those habits are exactly what shaped how he approached his own body.
At 63 he assumed his best years were behind him: a wrecked shoulder, flat feet, constant fatigue, high triglycerides, and weight that wouldn't budge. A chiropractor gave him one instruction — lie on two massage balls for ten minutes a day. No method, no protocol. That was the whole prescription.
Within weeks, sensation started returning to tissue he hadn't felt in decades. Within months, his body's shape began changing. Within about two years: more than 40 pounds lost, his arches restored, his shoulder working again, and a triglyceride number that had run high since he was 16 back in the normal range.
For a while, he treated it as nothing more than relief. But the changes kept coming — and about a year in, he looked at what was happening and thought: where is this going? That's when he started documenting everything — what he was doing, what he was feeling, what he was seeing — even though he still had no idea why it worked so powerfully.
He didn't have an explanation, so he went looking for one — in clinical literature, fitness and longevity books, physical-therapy frameworks. He found pieces, but no complete account of why combining pressure, movement, and stretch into one signal produced the changes he'd documented in his own body, with X-rays and lab panels to show for it. The Signal to Thrive is the explanation he had to write because it didn't exist yet.
He's not an athlete or a clinician — just someone who figured this out late in life, wrote it down, and built the tools (the book, the Method Guide, and this site) so others could learn it and feel it for themselves.
Steven is 66 and lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania, with his wife. He reads every message sent to steve@signaltothrive.com — especially from readers whose own bodies have responded to the Method.
