FAQ

Do I need special equipment?

Two firm massage balls (~$20). No balls yet? Tennis balls or a tightly rolled hand towel could also work to start.

How often do I need to do this?

10–15 minutes a day beats an hour once a week. Consistency is what drives the change.

Is it safe if I'm in pain?

A dull, familiar ache or some soreness is fine to work with — start on a softer surface, keep the sensation steady and breathable, and ease off if it sharpens. Sharp or escalating pain that shows up right away, not gradually, means stop and roll off the balls. The pain should stop immediately when the pressure stops. If the pain persists, see a professional.

What if I don't feel anything happening?

Normal, especially early on — tissue that's been quiet for years often responds quietly at first after a few months. Watch for indirect signs: deeper sleep, less effort standing up, less background tension. Visible postural change typically takes 6 months of consistent practice, not days.

When do I stop?

You don't, really — Stage III incorporates the work as part of daily life, and Stage IV means the same practice keeps building capacity for as long as you keep sending the signal.

Who shouldn't do this?

Anyone with acute disc herniation, active fractures, osteoporosis, peripheral neuropathy, post-surgical healing, or any condition requiring physician clearance. Check with your doctor first if you're unsure.
